Female Göktürk Warrior of the 6th Century

A female Turkic warrior in full armor and on horseback, braced for the harsh winter – and for each and every enemy that will stand in her way.

The clothing/armor was reconstructed to roughly correspond to the Göktürk Era between ~550–750. The Ashina Turks not only forged their own weapons, they also made their own armor. Lest we forget that they had been excellent blacksmiths even before creating their Khaganate.

This is one of the images that I used for my recent historical documentary about the rise of the Ashina Dynasty to create the First Göktürk Khaganate.
